The rise of the sun across the water horizon, the sound of waves crashing, and the smell of sea foam are what we see, hear, and smell as I write this post. Which has me thinking that our brains perceive time moving quickly or slowly based on factors such as routine, complacency, multitasking, technology innovations, emotions, and experiences. I could easily tell you the memories I have of the twins as small boys coming to the beach or even show you pictures of how much they have grown since the first time they have traveled to our family beach house. Nonetheless, the most beautiful thing about time spent here is that time slows down. I am not only grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the family heirloom, but more importantly the memories we make during the time we spend here. We will put aside our phones, schedules, stresses, and embrace the next 4 days together enjoying no feeling of time (unless we are talking about food!). As a result, the four of us are about to tropic like it is hot with toes in the sand and soaking up some sun!! However, no Friday is complete without reminiscing on the wonderful and funny 5 Friday Finds the twin boys dropped on us this week.....
1. Family vacation is 70% getting annoyed at your family, 200% spending more money than you should, 50% failed attempts at taking cute photos of your kids, 100% eating too much great food, and 10% enjoying the activities. The math checks out trust me!!
2. Not saying that I gave up on twin parenting at 6 a.m. this morning, however, I did allow them to put sprinkles on their goldfish and call it breakfast!!
3. The problem with raising twins who have good character is they become complete narcs when you try to sneak in candy into a movie theater!!

Me: That's great, now please can you do it again in a cleaner part of the house so I can take a photo??
5. Getting twins to leave a waterpark is like getting a drunk friend to leave the bar at closing time, they always have a reason to stretch it out!!
