The last things I want to hear from anyone is that today, Valentine's Day, is commercialized and silly. Guess what? Tell me one holiday or great observance that is not? Thus, I will reiterate each Valentine's Day that falls on Friday, shower others with love. Especially moms, sisters, wives, and those who may need it. Showering love to others is much better vs. making Easter commercialized or using Christmas for personal gain. Which is why we get up early, tackle our queen, give her gifts, make breakfast, and either take her out to a special dinner or cook her a special dinner at home teaching the twins. This year she requested my famous smoked barbecue bison and bacon burgers with homemade french fries and collard greens. It is another day to show your son or daughter the value of being thinking about others, strengthening relationships, and being unselfish. Couldn't society use more of this? Now before you go shower love on someone who comes to mind regardless if they deserve it or not enjoy a special valentine day themed 5 Finds.....
Valentine panic pre-kids- I forgot to chill the champagne. Valentine panic post kids-I have 3 dozen cupcakes to ice and no champagne left!!
True love is peeling the skin off your kid’s hot dog and keeping them company whenever they ask during poops!!
I thought it would be funny, and the twins were really going to appreciate me secretly adding, "LOVE YA SWEET CHEEKS!" to all the valentines for the kids in their class. Then my wife went back and put stickers over it all!!
Fatherhood: When it's your job to say things like, “I love you both, and that's why I’m telling you each set of your feet smell like you ran through a flock of dead pigeons in a creek!!”
Don't feel obligated to compliment my cologne on our Valentine's date. It's just twin kindergarten germs, sweat, leftover food as my shirt is just used as a napkin for 4 hands, and salt from my own tears because they take all my money, and this dinner is being paid for by becoming the dishwasher!!
