5 Friday Finds!!!!! Others!!

Updated: Feb 24

Imagination, fun, innocence, playful are just a tid bit of ways to describe how young kids live life. That often equates to the question: Which superhero would you like to be and what superpowers would you most want? Answers from youngsters range from clear, comical, odd, muddled, to head scratching. I mean who wouldn't want it to rain donuts while driving the EIffel Tower across the Great Wall of China? Nonetheless, it certainly has me thinking. As an adult what would be my answers. Lately, it would be all to help others. Who would not want to ensure that everyone living had access to clean water, heat during the cold, and food in their stomach. Or the freedom to learn at school or play sports as a female. Simple enough so it seems. Yet, not really. The recent shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl celebration parade stemmed from two groups of people who "grew agitated" over the belief the other were staring at them. Really? Like, really? My answer would not be so much a superhero, but super powers of injecting love into a world that is lost. Each murder is someone's friend, spouse, sibling, child, co-worker, mentor, and the list goes on. It is not a gun problem we have, it is a heart problem. I pray that you only allow the Lord to mold your heart and never turn away from what the word says. Thank you for being a smile when sometimes this world is not worth smiling at.

Proverbs 10:11-12 "The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs."

  1. So glad I helped twins make 102 valentines for everyone’s trash cans!!

  2. They should have a subscription service for kid’s shoes especially those who are raising twins!!

  3. Patiently sat through a 35-minute story from the twins. Said "wow" mom would love to hear this story as well. Off they go and here comes 35-minutes to myself!!

  4. Having kids involved in sports is fun, if you like coming home & eating dinner at 9pm!!

  5. One of the most challenging parts of parenthood is being caught off guard by those tough questions about life, like this morning when twins randomly asked me, “Do dogs sleepwalk?”
