No matter what the cliche, as a dad of multiples I have heard it all. However, let me tell you I hear it all x 2. The twins are absolute chatterboxes with one another, myself, mom, and anyone who comes to visit or hangout. As parents we have come to the conclusion that until they move out the house will find no silence!! The boys are a team and they stick together. This is an amazing quality and I’m so grateful they will always have one another, but I am still in awe about their uncanny ability to communicate and get into shenanigans!! At the same time I would not have it any other way in the house. Chatter, laughter, shenanigans, and a full heart from being a dad twin will not last forever as they will grow up and embark on their own journeys. Until then I wil
l continue to look forward to the 5 Friday finds they teach me each week as a dad of chatterboxes.....
1. Twin boys are great if you love loud alarm clocks that fart on que at 5:05 a.m. each day!!
2. 90% of parenting twins is just apologizing to people they run into!!
3. My favorite thing about Twin-Dadhood is being communicated to in a patronizing tone by 2 toddlers who need me to tell them if their shoes are on the correct feet!!
4. They say we never stop learning from our children, like mine taught me that a broken banana can no longer be a delicious banana??
5. 1st week of school: sandwich cut, sliced fruit, encouraging notes!!
Last week of school: handful of croutons, little Debbie, and a used napkin!!
